    Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2012
    New York Fashion Week
    February, 10

Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection looked impressive and it was one of my favourite pre-fall collections, so I was waiting with anticipation for the full Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Am I let down? Most certainly not. The stage was dark, gloomy and very mysterious. The mist set in and the show began.

The collection started off with a palette of black with hints of grey. Fur was immediate feature in this collection and the accent gave great texture to the garment. Then the first shade of real colour was introduced and it was no surprise it would be a red. Then Jason Wu sent down some gorgeously divine gold/metallic and black pieces, including a metallic, printed trouser suit with a fur accent around the neck which sat on the shoulders. Towards the end of the collection, Jason Wu introduced some very feminine (almost Moulin Rouge inspired) garments in the shade of red from earlier on in the collection. It was very seductive, very suggestive, very sensual. I simply loved it. The silhouettes were sexy and fitting, showing off the models waist and hips. I noticed that fur shoulders/sleeves were also used in this collection, similar to BCBG, so I am going to make a confident statement that fur is huge trend for this season.

The slick-back hair, leather gloves, glasses and clutches add so much to this collection and makes Jason Wu’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection my favourite. This is a powerful collection and one of Jason Wu’s strongest in my opinion.
